Dr. Mitchell A. Pierce, Jr. has proudly served patients in Louisiana for more than 40 years. He attended Cass Technical High School in Detroit before continuing his education at Wayne State University. There, he received an American Dental Education Fund Scholarship that supported his final year of undergraduate study and his education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.
Committed to advanced clinical training, Dr. Pierce completed the American Academy of Implant Dentistry implant training program at the Medical College of Georgia. He was the first dentist in Southeast Louisiana to earn Fellowship status with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He also holds a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Pierce has 51 years of experience in general dentistry, with 36 of those years focused on the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants. Throughout his career, he has lectured for dental implant companies, dental societies, and professional organizations. He has also performed live dental implant surgery demonstrations and served as an examiner for the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Pierce is licensed to practice dentistry in Louisiana, Texas, and Arizona.
Outside of the office, Dr. Pierce is an avid cyclist who rides approximately 125 miles each week. He also enjoys reading and learning about integrative nutrition.
